Privacy policy

Last updated 17 September 2026

Frost Tonight is built so that we know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no names, no e-mail addresses and no advertising.

What the app stores on your phone

Your location (to fetch the weather for your garden), your answers to the garden questions, the plants you picked, your warning time and your answers to "Was there frost this morning?". All of this stays on your phone.

What is sent to our server

To send you an evening warning, the app sends to our server (Cloudflare, EU data centres):

We keep a 30-day log of warnings sent (time, estimated temperature, delivery status) to investigate false alarms. It contains no personal information.

Weather data

Forecasts come from Open-Meteo. Only the rounded 1 km cell is sent to them.

Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to check subscription status; RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user id and Apple's purchase receipt, nothing else. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Tracking and analytics

None. No third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, no tracking across apps or websites.

Deleting your data

Delete the app and everything on your phone is gone. Your server record is deleted automatically when Apple reports the push token as invalid (which happens after uninstall), or on request to support@frosttonight.app.
